AR - augmented reality - is the computer-based extension of reality. The domain ar.lu was one of a total of 676 pure letter combinations that were allocated by the DNS (Domain Name System) Luxembourg at the end of 2020 as part of the auction of one- and two-character lu domains.

The letters from A to Z and the combinations possible from them were all bought at auction within a very short time. There were plenty of interested parties who wanted to secure their initials in the internet address. So it was hardly surprising that hammer prices in the four-digit euro range were not uncommon.
